Phishing Phone Calls and Texts

SCAM ALERT: Phishing phone calls and texts are targeting Evergreen Credit Union members. Other credit unions are also impacted. Scamsters may use publicly available information such as employee names to appear more legitimate.

We have also seen increased scams targeting online banking credentials including encouraging you to download software. Evergreen Credit Union does not employ any screen sharing technologies and will not ask you to use any program to share your computer or phone screen. Be weary of online loan services that ask for your online banking information to make deposits.

Scamsters rely on social engineering and the fast paced nature of the holidays. Slow down, think twice, and don’t hesitate to call us at (920)729-2999 if something feels out of place.
